The developmental dilemma

My JRN 303 class assigned students to individually find a local story and create a multimedia work of journalism.
In my piece, I produced every aspect: the audio work, photographs, and reporting.

Every week during my internship, I ideated and pitched stories to my editor that I believed would increase readership and gain website traction.
I researched, wrote, created the graphics and designed the articles on WordPress weekly. During this internship, I enjoyed the opportunity to develop my own voice and to write about the entertainment industry.

Published on the Observer's website during my Fall semester in 2023
During the fall semester of my senior year, I wrote for my college town's local newspaper. My beat focused on athletics within the community.
I enjoyed the opportunity to build relationships with coaches and athletes within the town and learning more about the lives of the people within Oxford, Ohio.

After listening to Noah Kahan's newest album, I knew I had to write this article.
Being from New Jersey and skiing in Vermont my entire life, the tracks on this album made me feel at home.
